Carrière des Awirs is the destination for our first multi-pitch weekend of the year!
As an old limestone quarry, the crag features both slab climbing on the south side and the biggest overhanging routes of Belgium on the north face. In the late 80’s, pioneers were already climbing these walls. If they could tackle the Grand Dièdre in –10°C weather, we can certainly handle a cold spring morning!
As Jeppe said, Les Awirs is bolted liberaly for Belgium and thus a great place to practice. So you can also join if you are not following the course!
Keep in mind that for joining this weekend your single pitch license is required.
Also keep in mind that this is a weekend in Belgium thus a klimjaarkaart is required to climb.
